Shared hardware
This is a listing of department and university hardware that you can use, i.e. that is available in computing labs or available for loan or check-out. Available equipment include printers, scanners, projectors and laptops as well as IMBI lab equipment such as microscopes and the ABI 3700 genotyper.
Purchasing hardware
This section covers advice about choosing and buying computers and peripherals (printers, scanners, external drives and memory sticks, and projectors). It pays to check out your options before buying.
